These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Helen McDonald, including hypnotherapy, reflexology, menopause support programmes, workshops, online sessions, and any related wellbeing services. By booking an appointment, you agree to the following terms.
Appointments and bookings
Appointments can be booked online, by email, telephone, text, or via WhatsApp messaging. Your booking is confirmed once an appointment time has been agreed. Please ensure you provide accurate contact and health information relevant to your session.
Payment
Payment is required in advance of your appointment unless otherwise agreed. Details of how to pay will be provided when your appointment is confirmed.
Cancellations and missed appointments
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full. Missed appointments or late arrivals may also be charged at the full session fee.
Treatment plans and recommendations
Therapies and wellbeing treatments are supportive processes designed to encourage long-term wellbeing and positive change. Recommended treatment plans are provided as guidance only and can be adapted to suit your needs, goals, and budget.
Scope of practice and medical care
Helen McDonald works within the scope of her professional training, qualifications, and experience at all times, providing supportive complementary therapies designed to promote relaxation, wellbeing, and emotional support.
Hypnotherapy and reflexology are not medical treatments and should not be considered a replacement for medical advice, diagnosis, or care from a GP or other qualified healthcare professional.
Clients are encouraged to seek appropriate medical support for ongoing physical or mental health concerns and to continue any prescribed treatment unless advised otherwise by their healthcare provider.
Please inform Helen of any medical conditions, diagnoses, medication, injuries, or changes to your health before your appointment.
Client suitability, consent and responsibility
Services may not be suitable for everyone. Helen reserves the right to decline or discontinue treatment if it is considered inappropriate, outside her professional scope, or not in the client’s best interests.
Clients experiencing severe or complex mental health conditions may be advised to seek support from a suitably qualified healthcare professional.
By attending sessions, clients confirm they are voluntarily participating in therapy and wellbeing services and understand the nature of the support being offered.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information about their health and wellbeing, including any changes that may affect treatment.
Online sessions
For online appointments, it is your responsibility to ensure you have:
- A suitable internet connection
- A quiet, safe, and comfortable environment
- Appropriate technology for the session
Online sessions must not be recorded without prior written permission.
Confidentiality
All sessions, records, and personal information are treated in the strictest confidence. Information will only be disclosed where required by law, where there is a safeguarding concern, or where there is reason to believe there may be a risk of harm to yourself or others.
